Schute Life awarded $100,000 of scholarship money to 10 ADD students today at 6:45 p.m. at the Alumni House.

Maria Luiz awarded the scholarships.

She thanked Devin Schute for making the scholarship money available for students with Attention Deficit Disorder.

Ashley Sparrow, a junior college student with ADD, received a $2,500 scholarship paid out over the course of two semesters.

Sparrow was selected out of 300 applicants.

“It means a lot,” Sparrow said. “I’m honored to have been chosen.”

Sparrow said that her ADD has made it difficult to do well in school.

“Late-night studying is the worst,” Sparrow said. “It’s hard to be present in class.”
