Five women protested against police brutality today at 8:30 p.m. after the shooting of Shawn Bennett outside of Caffe Ibis earlier today by a police officer whose identity has yet to be disclosed

The officer allegedly believed Bennett to be attacking Amy Dunn outside Caffe Ibis.

Dunn later died from a stroke.

The protesters want to see accountability for the officer who shot Bennett.

“There just has to be more representation. Just because he’s a big black guy doesn’t mean he’s bad,” said McKell Cox, a protester. “They need to make sure that they use guns safely.

“Whoever shot him needs to be held responsible,” said Sally Winters, one of the protesters. “He can’t get away with that just because he’s a police officer.”

“I can’t believe this is happening in Logan,” said Annie Brown, another protester.

The protesters attended the press conference where it was announced that Amy Dunn had died.
