Patients are currently being admitted to Logan Regional Hospital for treatment of respiratory issues. All have complained of trouble breathing and several have passed out.

Officials have stated that Logan is on high air quality alert and have advised that citizens do not stay outdoors for longer than 30 minutes.

“I know we have admitted a few patients, but as they haven’t been diagnosed, I can’t speculate as to what the cause is,” Adam Pebples of the Logan Regional Hospital said.

J Lo, a citizen of Providence, was having trouble breathing and proceeded to pass during a phone interview with the Logan Ledger.

Dani Elliott, co-editor of Logan Ledger, also passed out.

“It was awful because I couldn’t breathe,” she said.

Jane Coleman was working in her yard earlier today and now her entire family is having trouble breathing.

“I think there’s a problem with the air,” Coleman said.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
