Jim Johnson of the Bear River Health Department reiterated that residents of Cache Valley should stay inside until further data is collected at 8:15 p.m. today.

Tests are ongoing to determine the cause of a recent influx in hospitalizations that appear to be the result of spending too much time outside.

“Without hard information I hesitate to speculate,” Johnson said.

A warning, issued by the Cache Valley Health Department, which encourages residents of Cache Valley to stay inside their homes, is still in effect.

The warning states that if it can’t be avoided, no more than 30 minutes should be spent outdoors.
