Today at 10 a.m. the Red River High School track team will compete in the Northern Utah Regional Track Meet at the Utah State University field. Student Billy Rush, a senior, will be defending his state title in the 110 meter hurdles.

Red River High track coach Howe Howirezer said he is excited about today’s competition. He said he believes Rush has a good chance.

“It doesn’t matter who he’s going against,” Howirezer said. “He’s dedicated to the game. Dedicated to winning.”

Rose Bush, Rush’s mother, said he is ready to win today.

“Billy is the star hurdler,” Bush said. “There’s no way anyone can beat him.”

Bush said she advises everyone to come to the meet today.

“Everyone should come out,” Bush said. “See what a star my little Billy is.”
