ImageLOGAN, Utah – The Logan Grizzlies advanced to the semifinal round last night, knocking Sky View out of the 4A boys’ basketball tournament 78-56.

The Bobcats came out strong, scoring 38 points in the first half, compared to the Grizzlies’ 27.

“We knew we had to play better in the second half,” said Logan head coach Greg Sorenson.

Jackson Upton, forward for Logan, led the team in an 18-2 rally in the first four minutes of the third quarter. He was named game MVP, scoring 26 points for the Grizzlies.

“The first half was hard,” said Upton. “We knew we had to pull it together.”

Logan will face Bountiful High School in the semifinal round to be held at the Huntsman Center on campus at the University of Utah next Thursday.
